Beautyrest
Mattresses Pillows Memory Beds
My daughter
really wanted a queen-sized bed for some time. My wife gave
in to her wishes and crowned her princess by giving her our
relatively new Beautyrest Mattresses. We have owned this one
for nearly three years now. I must say I was perfectly
happy with this mattress but my wife is a bit more selective
in her choice of mattresses. She has had a back problem for
some time and wanted a mattress with a bit less firmness than
this mattress offers. If you are interested in a mattress
with a firm feel then this may be the one for you. Simmons
is noted for their ability to reduce any motion transfer from
one side of the mattress to the other. Most mattresses on
the market today are constructed with coils being linked together;
Simmons has designed their product with a unique coil configuration.
Each Simmons mattress is built with an independent spring
construction, which reduces motion transfer across the mattress.
The Pocketed
Coil Spring Technology of the Beautyrest Mattresses really
did make my wife's exits and entrances from bed during the
night less noticeable, as well as any movements from changing
positions. When shopping the Simmons line, each mattress is
now rated with a MSI or Motion Separation Index to help determine
motion transfer in each particular mattress. Each mattress has a single-sided design to eliminate the need
for flipping and rotating the mattress. While this is a nice
feature, it seems to becoming the industry standard and is
no longer a feature unique to any particular manufacturer. Unfortunately
you will have to cough up some additional hard earned greenbacks,
as this is only available in their premium World Class or
World Class Exceptional lines. This feature gives more support
to the outer edges of the mattress, thus increasing the overall
sleeping area.
The Beautyrest
Mattresses is also constructed with the Cumulus Foam which
offers a nice cushion of foam to evenly distribute your weight
evenly across the mattress surface yet it retains it's original
shape when no longer in use. The mattress come
in plush, firm or pillow-top models, I would believe the reviewed
mattress falls on the low end of the firm mattress line which
is a 825 coil design. One additional note, you will have no
trouble at all with a regular set of queen-sized sheets. There
will be no need to purchase over-sized sheets one may find
necessary for many of the pillow-top mattresses now available.
It would be much more helpful if the manufacturers and retailers
were more forth-coming in giving out information on their
products. As I have written, this mattress is nearly three
years old. No salesperson will ever be able to cross reference
our mattress to current models.
