Memory Foam Mattress Pillows Beds
After
a year of sleeping on a futon, I decided it was time to spend
the big bucks and get a real mattress. After literally
trying out every single ones at Mattress Discounters,
I decided on this one. Construction-wise, it has about
600 coils (queen), but lower gauge wires than usual. What
this means is that the wires are thicker (longer life of mattress)
and there is a medium-high density of coils. This is definitely
one for those of you who prefer a firm but not extra firm
mattress when you buy memory foam.
Specifically
what I was looking for was a firm but plush mattress.
This is not an easy thing to do. I wanted something with a
little give, because I am a side-sleeper with hips. There
is enough firm support for your back, but your hips can sink
into the plush top just enough. I tried some of the ones that
were higher up on the price scale for Stearns and Foster,
but those were too plush for my tastes and budget. The most
special thing about Stearns and Foster though, is their side-wall
construction. Unlike the other major manufacturers, you can
sleep up to the very edge of this without starting to roll
off! Take my word, I lay on every single one in
that store. This means that when they say it is 54 inches
wide, there is 54 inches of sleep surface, not 45 inches with
sloping edges. More bed for your buck! More durability in
buying memory foam!
Since
they make you rate its attractiveness here, I will mention
that the covering is a lovely high-quality ivory damask that
would be very classy naked and reclining in your boudoir,
but for decency's sake you should still make it wear some
sheets, in a tasteful patter, but of course. Ordered a king-size. Delivered to our home in rural Virginia by
tractor-trailer two days later, now installed in our home,
now being slept on. Pretend you're in an absolutely top-of-the-line
swanky resort, where you expect and pay for only the best.
That's what it feels like to retire for the night in your
very own bedroom when you buy memory foam.
